Vocal Ensembles

 

Concert Choir aims to learn how to truly use the voice as an instrument. With work on tuning, quality, and expression, students in choir will sing multiple styles of music. Students will sing traditional choral music, learn music in different languages, use rote learning to explore musical styles around the globe, and learn about singing in pop/rock style. 

 

Vocal Jazz, formerly Chamber Choir, is an optional ensemble that focuses on jazz, pop, musical theater, and rock styles of singing. Students will be pushed with difficult music and advanced theory during rehearsal to accurately learn each style. This ensemble will have plenty of chances for soloists to shine! Vocal Jazz will meet after school one day a week.
