College and Career Readiness Center

Meet Mrs. Roer
Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself and express my excitement about working with your child! My name is Emily Roer.

Mr. Roer and I have a six-year-old daughter named Ellie and a three-year-old daughter named Charlotte. They both keep us on our toes! We also have a dog named Spunky. We love to travel during the summer.

I was born and raised in South Beloit. I went to South Beloit High School and graduated in 2008. I attended Rockford College and graduated with a degree in Education in 2012. I recently completed my Master's degree in Educational Leadership.

If you ever have any questions, please feel free to email ([email protected]) or call (815)389-9004. I look forward to helping your student explore different post-secondary options for their future!

About the College & Career Center
The College & Career Center is located by the main office at South Beloit High School. The goal of our program is to allow students the chance to explore post-secondary opportunities. Our students will be able to go outside of the four-walls of the classroom to job shadow and to see the different career options they have available.

There will also be new class opportunities for our students. We have new classes that focus on students looking to go into the trades, manufacturing, healthcare, education, and much more!

We are lucky enough to have the support of Hendricks CareerTek. Hendricks CareerTek provides us with a lot of resources for our students.

The College & Career Center will also be there to help students with skills needed in the workforce, applications, work, college, and scholarships. Like us on Facebook- South Beloit College & Career Center- to see everything going on!
