Dear South Beloit High School Community,
We are beyond excited for another school year. A new school year is always filled with energy and excitement. The pathway that we are building at the high school is very unique and diverse at the same time. The continuous additions of new dual credit courses, a focus on our Trades in Training program with Blackhawk Technical College. This allows our students to begin their journey in the trades and technical career programs. We continue to implement AVID schoolwide and create a comprehensive 9th through 12th grade post secondary plan for all of our students. This is an exciting time for our students and for the high school as we bring in new experiences and opportunities that resemble the changing college and career landscape.
The high experience provides an excellent perspective on essential skills that are required of our students as they progress through their learning experience. We encourage our students to be an advocate for their education and take ownership of their learning experience. Being involved in organizations and extra-curricular activities increases our students tie to their school community and helps them own their learning journey. We also encourage our parents to reach out to the teachers here at South Beloit High School with any questions or concerns. We hope that our website provides essential information and if needed, we can easily be contacted via email or through a phone call.
My journey in education has taken many turns over the years. I am originally from Wisconsin where I grew up on my family’s dairy farm. I am a graduate from Aurora University with my Doctorate, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for my Masters degree in Administrative Leadership and the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with my Bachelors degree. In my free time, I spend as much time with my wife and two young daughters.
My administrative and teaching experience come from many levels. I have been a high school and middle school administrator. My teaching experience has led me through multiple levels, I have taught middle and high school in both regular and special education. I was also a head football and softball coach while I taught at the high school level.
Thank you for letting me be part of the educational experience at South Beloit High School.
