Before School 

At Home:

  • Parents self-certify that their child is symptom-free before sending their child to school. 
  • Currently known symptoms of COVID-19 include: fever above 100°F, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, fatigue, muscle/body aches, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell, congestion or runny nose, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.
  • If your child exhibits any of these symptoms, we ask you not to send your child to school on this day. 

Riding Bus:

  • Students must wear a facemask at all times while on the bus. Students who are unable to wear a face mask for medical reasons must submit a physician's note to the school. Physician notes should be turned into the school office by August 13th.

Arrival at School

Entering School:

  • Students must have a mask on as they enter the building. 
  • Doors open at 7:50 AM and students will have to wait in the Common's Area. 
  • Students are expected to practice social distancing at all times while on school grounds  (3ft). 
  • Students will not have their temperatures taken as they enter school. 
  • Students will be allowed to sit in the Commons area. 
  • At 8:20 - students will be dismissed and get their belongings and go to their first period class. 

During School 

In The Classroom:

  • All individuals must wear face masks inside the school at all times.This  includes classrooms, hallways, restrooms, the gymnasium, and the cafeteria (except while eating). 
  • If a student is quarantined through the Winnebago Health Department the family and student will be notified of the specified days. 
  • Students should practice social distancing (3ft). 
  • Students will be seated 3ft apart as much as possible. 
  • PE locker rooms will be available for use. Classes will dress for class as designated by the teacher and locker rooms will be used throughout the day. 
  • All extra cleaning routines established last year (hand washing, disinfecting desks and lockers, extra classroom cleanings) will be continued this school year.  
  • PE, music and band classes will be held outside as much as possible. 

Lunch

Time & Locations

  • Students in the cafeteria will have limited seating at each table. 
  • Students will be able to eat in the cafeteria or high school gym. 
  • Areas where students eat will be sanitized before and after each lunch period. 
  • Open Campus Lunch will resume this school year. Students 10-12 will need to have a 2.5 overall cumulative GPA to be eligible to leave for off-campus lunch. 9th Grade will be eligible after the 1st quarter.

After School

Dismissal

  • Dismissal will be at 3:20. All students will be dismissed at the same time. 

Quarantine Instructional Learning

Program

  • If a student is quarantined during the school year, the student will need to do homework at home through assigned work by the classroom instructor. Students will not enter the class remotely while at home during a quarantine.
