  • Spring Sports meeting

The South Beloit High School Athletic Department will be hosting the Spring Sports Parent, Student-Athlete and Coaches Athletics Meeting on Wednesday, February 20th at 6:00 PM at South Beloit High School in the Auditorium.  It is recommended that All South Beloit High School Parents and their Student-Athletes that want to participate in Boys’ & Girls’ Track & Field, Baseball, Softball and Girls’ Soccer teams attend this meeting.

The first part of the meeting will be a review of the South Beloit High School Athletic Handbook, the Concussion Protocol, the South Beloit High School Athletics web page and the NEW South Beloit High School Online Athletic Department Registration with Mr. Hansen.  After Mr. Hansen finishes, the Head Coaches will hold Team Sport Specific breakout sessions with the parents and student-athletes to discuss team expectations.  If you attended the Fall or Winter Sports Parent Meeting, you do not need to attend the first part of this meeting and can arrive at 6:30 PM.

Mr. Hansen will walk you through the Online Athletic Registration program; this needs to be completed before your student-athlete can participate in the 2018-2019 athletics.  This is also a good time to ask Mr. Hansen any questions you may have for 2018-2019 Athletics.

Jeremy Schaaf - Principal

Dear South Beloit High School Community,

I am beyond excited to be named the Principal at South Beloit High School. The opportunity to serve the community, school, staff and students of South Beloit School District is truly humbling. I believe my teaching and administrative experience at the middle and high school levels will serve the South Beloit High School students and staff in a diverse manner.

My journey in education has taken many turns over the years. I am originally from Wisconsin where I grew up on my family’s dairy farm. I am a graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in my Bachelors degree and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for my Masters degree in Administrative Leadership. I am currently pursuing my Doctorate degree through Aurora University and hope to be completed soon. Please ask me how my dissertation is going to keep me motivated. In my free time, I spend as much time with my wife and two young daughters.

My teaching experience has led me through multiple levels, I have taught middle and high school in both regular and special education. I was also a head football and softball coach while I taught at the high school level. My administrative experience comes from being an Assistant Principal, Athletic Director and Principal. I come to South Beloit School District from Woodstock Community Unit School District where I was an Assistant Principal at the high school and a Middle School Principal.

In my previous experience as an administrator, I have led a 1:1 chromebook implementation, digital literacy implementation, increased Advanced Placement enrollment and created Dual Credit opportunities students. I look forward to working with the students and community members of South Beloit to create student pathways for high school and beyond.

Thank you for letting me be part of the educational experience at South Beloit High School.
